Overdraft Protection

Direct Federal offers our members protection for unexpected checking account overdrafts. Specifically, if you have written a check or processed an ACH payment that overdraws your checking, we will look to advance funds from your Direct Federal line of credit and/or your savings account in order to pay the transaction presented. If neither of these options are sufficient, you have yet another option to cover unexpected overdrafts, Courtesy Pay. All checking accounts at Direct Federal come standard with the Courtesy Pay protection. It is available to you after your account has been open for 30 days and your account is in good standing. Click here to learn more about this program.
