Direct Federal Credit Union launches “Culture Crew” 06/14/2018
Direct Federal Credit Union has announced the launch of a “Culture Crew,” an internal team put together to instill a passion into others that makes Direct a top place to work.
The purpose of the Culture Crew is to improve communication throughout the credit union; ensure that all employees are supported in their day to day work; act as liaisons between leadership, employees, and departments until it becomes a daily norm to act in a way that embodies the credit unions core values—leading to achievement based collaboration.
The Culture Crew is made up of employees across the credit union who had to go through an application process for selection. Crew members are: Amanda Wheeler (Collections), Diana Shulman (Loan Processing), Leslie Glennon (Loan Servicing), Meghan O’Brien (Loan Processing), Erin Proulx (Training), Dan Deveney (Underwriting), Pam Webber (Member Services), Hannah Slitzky (Member Services), Kassandra Martin (Marketing). The culture crew is led by Joe Walsh, CEO & President of Direct Federal, and Mary Ann Boari, VP of Culture.
The crew has highlighted seven areas of focus for 2018—communication, recognition, collaboration, empowerment, measurement, orientation and training, and social climate.
“We are ecstatic to have this group of nine employees working together to help achieve our desired culture. We are confident that the work they do will make a difference for years to come.” said Joe Walsh, President and CEO at Direct Federal.
