People Helping People: Hurricane Harvey 08/30/2017

In the credit union cooperative spirit of “People Helping People”, Direct Federal continuously looks for causes, organizations and needs in our community that we can support, both monetarily and through volunteerism. Direct Federal supports the people of Texas and the devastation they are going through. We will be contributing through a few ways outlined below and encourage our employees, members and community to do so as well.

  • We will be making a one-time donation to the National Credit Union Fund. This fund supports Credit Union employees and volunteers in Texas that have been affected by the hurricane. Visit www.cuaid.coop for more information.
  • We have partnered with the St. Bernard Project which is an organization that helps provide disaster relief with rebuilding efforts in areas effected by natural disasters. We will be making a $5,000 donation to the organization to assist in their efforts in Texas.
  • We are working with the American Red Cross to sponsor a blood drive in the upcoming weeks. The drive will be held at our Direct Federal main office location at 50 Cabot Street, Needham, MA.
